This is an extraordinary claim made by a man who once walked the earth. If it’s false, it should be rejected. If it’s true, it may be the most important truth in human history.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev 22:13
“And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world existed.” John 17:15
Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible," Col 1:16-17

He was lying
He was delusional
He was telling the truth
Manuscript Evidence - The New Testament is supported by an unusually large number of surviving ancient manuscripts. Thousands of Greek copies and early translations allow scholars to compare texts and reconstruct the original wording with a high level of confidence. The sheer quantity and early dating of these manuscripts make the New Testament one of the best-attested documents from the ancient world.
Historical Confirmation - Archaeology and ancient records have repeatedly confirmed many historical details found in the Bible. Locations, rulers, and cultural practices described in the text often align with discoveries from the ancient Near East and the Roman world. While archaeology does not prove every event, it consistently shows that the biblical authors were writing within a real and identifiable historical setting.
Non-Christian Sources Referencing Jesus - References to Jesus appear in writings outside the Bible from ancient historians such as Tacitus, Josephus, and Pliny the Younger. These authors were not Christians, yet they confirm that Jesus lived in the first century and that the early Christian movement spread rapidly after His death. Their writings provide independent historical acknowledgment of the figure described in the New Testament.
Biblical Prophecy - Another unique aspect of the Bible is the presence of prophecy—statements written centuries before events that believers claim were later fulfilled. Passages from books like the Book of Isaiah describe a coming figure whose life, suffering, and mission many Christians believe align with the life of Jesus. Whether viewed as divine foresight or literary interpretation, these prophetic texts have played a central role in how Christians understand the identity and mission of Christ.
